Getting Here

The 926 Citylink bus runs from Glasgow 5 times a day (with the midday one calling at Glasgow Airport) and offers lovely views of Loch Lomond, the Arrochar Alps and Kintyre. Booking is strongly recommended.

If you are driving and want to come by ferry, you have 3 options:
Ardrossan to Brodick then Lochranza to Claonaig with Calmac
Ardrossan to Campbeltown with Calmac
or Gourock to Hunter’s Quay with Western Ferries and Portavadie to Tarbert with Calmac.

Another option is to fly from Glasgow to Campbeltown.

We strongly recommend getting in touch with other competitors to share transport. racelifts.org enables you to offer or ask for lifts  to races.

On the day, for those staying in Campbeltown our race bus leaves from the bus terminus at 06.45, arriving in Tayinloan at 07.15. This is the preferred option as the 926 which leaves at 06.30 is busy for local people from Kintyre travelling to Glasgow.

Staying Here

We are pleased to be working with Machrihanish Holiday Park, where you can choose from a wide variety of accommodation options. For those wishing to stay in Campbeltown and surroundings, there is no particular place to look but a general internet search will provide plenty of information. Our sponsors at Torrisdale Castle have self catering accommodation.
